What is PSH?
Many peoples’ lives are unhappy or diminished because of painful feelings such as anxiety, anger, guilt, hypertension, or continual sadness. Commonly people report other symptoms that accompany these feelings, for instance, lethargy, tension headaches, sleep difficulties and ultimately depression.
Private Subconscious-mind Healing (PSH) is a groundbreaking therapy that is proving highly effective in helping these people turn their lives around and regain wellbeing. Initially, PSH can seem similar to a guided meditation. It is deeply relaxing and non-intrusive, but at the same time it is proven, powerful, effective therapy. PSH enables the individual to involve the whole of their non-conscious resources to bring about the healing of painful, recurring emotional states and responses. PSH is genuinely a subconscious therapy and is not dependent on any counselling or the need to talk about past events. We recognise our conscious memory as very limited and not always reliable. At the conscious level we tend only to address symptoms, whereas the real causes of our pain are much deeper. When guided into meditation or a deeply relaxed state of mind, there are certain physiological, mental and emotional changes that start to occur. These changes allow access to our deeper levels of mind. PSH provides a guide at this level and through a series of steps leads the inner mind to review and re-evaluate the original causes of our anxiety or pain. This inner communication is always private and is not dependent on the client even understanding the reasons why they may have been anxious or depressed.
Further stages in the PSH process encourage a gentle release of past emotion such as hurt, anger or sadness and reconciliation with previously unintegrated or denied aspects of ourself.
PSH will normally involve four sessions, ideally about a week apart. Our clients are provided with a meditation CD and encouraged to practice daily during the course of the therapy. In this way a familiarity is developed with the letting go response and progressively more profound experiences are encountered.
